Mechanical Engineer

Description:

Produce detailed engineering designs, technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligning with project requirements and client expectations. Lead the creation, refinement, and finalization of designs HVAC ducting, chillers, boilers, exhaust systems, plumbing and potentially other mechanical building systems with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.

Design, analyze, & calculate heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maintain precise environmental conditions that include specific materials, specifications, and/or implement measures to control factors like temperature, humidity, air filtration, particle levels, etc., ensuring compliance with ASHRAE standards. Apply established engineering techniques, exercising judgment to adapt and modify design concepts while ensuring compliance with company and team CAD standards for quality control. Collaborate closely with design teams, Engineers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to address specific objectives, complex features, and propose viable solutions to unique challenges.

Facilitate seamless coordination among various design disciplines (Electrical, Structural, Architectural, etc.) to fulfill design package requirements. Conduct field verifications and site assessments to identify, verify, resolve, and integrate solutions into design packages, troubleshooting design issues during construction as necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree from an ABET-accredited school in Mechanical Engineering or technically related discipline. Experience working with AutoCAD is required.

Experience with Revit, Navisworks, PIPE-FLO or similar hydraulic modeling software is a plus. Demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing HVAC, chillers, boilers, pump hydraulics, exhaust, process chemicals, wastewater discharge, or other similar mechanical building systems.
