Mechanical Engineer

We're looking for an outstanding Mechanical Engineer with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively to help support a large Satellite Program!

This person must will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis specifically for payloads satellite systems in Siemens NX. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs with extensive GD&T experience.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• 5+ years of experience with CAD.

• 5+ years of experience with design and development of hardware at scale (High End Optics and Precision Mechanisms desired)

• 7+ years of experience with development, test, deployment of aerospace systems.

• Experience with specifying/justifying margins and test sequences, and qualifying space systems.

• Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis.

• Experience in DFM and manufacturing process development. Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
