Mechanical Engineer

Description:

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our NC team. You will be responsible for maintaining existing designs as well as evaluation and execution of proposed changes to original design intent through our engineering change process. The Sustaining Engineering team focuses on projects to maintain the component selection as well as look at alternatives.

• Execute sustaining engineering opportunities on existing and new product components by improving quality, enhancing features/performance, or reducing cost.

• Utilizing company product release and engineering change processes.

• Lead or assist in the responsibilities for all aspects of component selection and validation/verification

• Work directly with Test Engineering and Quality to validate new and existing components

• Plan, perform and document validation testing for all stages of projects

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, Mechanical Engineering preferred

• 2+ years' experience as an engineer performing product changes or clean sheet design, preferably in a sustaining or manufacturing engineering role.

• 1+ year experience using solid modeling CAD design tools (SolidWorks preferred).

• Experience with ECO (Engineering Change Order) processes

• Experience with product / component validation and/or testing
