Design Engineer - Heavy Equipment

Hybrid (2 days onsite 3 days remote)

Salary: $35-45hr

Overview:

We are seeking a Design Engineer to support our Sanford location. As a Design Engineer in this product-related role, you will be responsible for keeping the product moving through the line and resolving issues/troubleshooting designs.

Your primary focus will be on designing top-quality heavy equipment products, responding to line calls, investigating issues to make it better for assemblers, and designing trials. You will work closely with our purchasing team to test out designs before rolling them out and collaborate with our validation team to ensure product quality. You will also be responsible for taking updated items from the design stage and releasing them into the system (Creo) and engineering to manufacturing through Teamcenter. Other key responsibilities include understanding tolerances, hydraulic components, routing lines, and brackets.

You will be onsite 2 days a week, with the rest of the time being on you. You will have a desk, but it's important to integrate with the line and design center as approximately ~30% of the time will be hands-on.

Requirements:

• 4-year engineering degree (required)

• 5-7 years of experience

• Root cause/problem-solving experience

• Proficient in Creo for updating drawings

• Design work related to a product (doesn't need to be construction)
