Job Description

The main function of this role is to research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. Responsibilities include researching, designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices. You will also analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine time and cost feasibility of projects, as well as diagnose and recommend solutions to equipment failures and difficulties. Additionally, you will assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using various tools, equipment, or software.

Hard Skills

• Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports

• Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD)

• Familiarity with FEA model building and results interpretation

• Understanding of detailed drawings and technical specifications

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 52 Weekly.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Sanford NC, North Carolina and some days remote.

Work Environment

This role requires interaction across various functions and organizational levels, contributing to a collaborative work environment. The position also demands the ability to operate under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
