We are looking for a drafter who, under the direction of the Drafting Supervisor, will prepare clear and accurate sketches, layouts and drawings of all assemblies and all engineering papers and notices in accordance with standard drafting procedures. The drafter will work in support of Engineering particularly, and other departments as required.

Duties include: final drawing revisions, parts list, bills of material, diagrams, maps, charts schematics, layouts, assemblies, Engineering Change Request, Engineering Change Notices, and New Drawing Releases. Perform mathematical computations such as tolerance checks, weight of part studies, etc. Individual must understand and communicate sequence of assembly and installation practices.

We are looking for someone with 5 years of Inventor and AutoCAD experience.

You will be able to use your engineering experience to support the next generation of advanced communications products and systems. You are a highly motivated and capable IT/CAD technician specializing in administration of large company, distributed mechanical design applications and processes. The type of work you will be responsible for, but not limited to, is monitoring, managing, and optimizing the company wide mechanical design applications. To optimize performance and availability of mechanical design applications, your responsibilities will include defining, setting up, and maintaining associated networks and servers. As required, you will troubleshoot the associated network system to ensure a high level of performance is maintained. In addition, you will participate in the evaluation and implementation of mechanical/CAD applications where designs require very large assemblies and/or graphic intensive files. You will also be involved in reviewing/defining the structure and process implemented within the data management tools (such as SolidWorks PDM, Agile, etc.) and reconfiguring as required to optimize performance. This would include working with users to clean-up PDM files and transition legacy data. You will generate or update procedures for optimizing file performance, which includes process to generate efficient files and associated retrieval and submission within the PDM systems. You will also assist with mechanical application related issues (i.e. slow performance, frequent crashing, corrupt files, etc.). You will manage rollouts of new CAD revisions (i.e. administrative Image) that are configured to provide best performance. You will be responsible for helping users optimize CAD settings using SolidWorks, Creo, etc., specifically with video card settings and SolidWorks settings to optimize performance (i.e. administrative image settings and registry files). You will assist with training on methods of large assembly use to include Text vs Decals, graphical intensive files, simplified models of parts or assemblies (Speedpak or configurations), reduced external references, disconnected drawings, configurations versus display states and hardware and toolbox usage. Finally, you will work with designers and engineers to clean up files, eliminate error flags, improve construction techniques, etc. Requirements: * Minimum 5 years of IT experience of servers and desktop support * Proven leadership in managing global CAD engineering applications including * SolidWorks, SolidEdge, CATIA, CREO and associated PDM systems * Training and CAD processes across multiple sites * Manage deployment of new revisions of mechanical applications that are configured to provide best performance. * Create custom written scripts for optimization, monitoring, and reporting * Working knowledge of server optimization, including SQL * Network troubleshooting skills that allow for optimal SolidWorks performance * Experience with WireShark or similar packet monitoring tool * Administration of PDM (ie SolidWorks ePDM), and user management, including global site replication * SolidWorks ePDM experience including workflow set-up, automated tasking, file type configuration control, and datacard design. * Strong communication skills * Knowledgeable on remote support, ie.by phone, email, WebEx, IM, VPN, etc. * Desktop setup/configuration for optimal performance for SolidWorksExpert PC troubleshooting skills. * Ability to travel up to 25%. Location support for multiple locations including Georgia, Arizona, & California. * US government position. US citizenship required. Preferences: * Experience with best practices of part and large assembly modeling * Certified SolidWorks Professional Certification (CSWP) or higher * SolidWorks World or workshop attendance in past * ITAR and FOUO understanding * Design Checker and file quality verification experience * Ability to manage and create templates * VBA and SQL programing experience. * Ability to write SolidWork API scripts and macros * Agile PLM experience.
