Mechanical Drafter

Do you wonder what makes buildings tick? LaBella Associates, is seeking a CAD Technician/Drafter with a career interest in Building Projects to work in our Buffalo, NY office. This position will work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings from conception to construction. Individual will work closely with other engineers and team members to produce mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) engineering documents that detail designs for the built environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an eagerness to learn new skills. Some of the duties the candidate may be involved in include:

• Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop construction drawings.
• Prepare mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD from markups/redlines.
• Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.
• Expected to improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable software packages, and continually strengthens skills.

Qualifications:

• An interest in building systems, and a curiosity to want to learn more.
• Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design, Engineering Technology, or related field desired but not required.
• Experience/Background in AutoCAD or Revit is required, with skill in both preferred.
• Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communications skills.
• This career requires an attention to detail; the details matter!
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $32.00 an hour.

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
