We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Designer to be responsible for efficient production of CAD models and drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies from engineering inputs for test cells and other aerospace ground test facilities.

Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities Listed Below
CAD Modeling- Create detailed models for parts using parametric and associative modeling techniques, including welded steel structures, pressure vessels, piping systems, simple and complex mechanisms, rotating equipment, and process equipment. Check fits and clearances for both assembly and normal operating conditions. Provide initial sizing and layout definition in close collaboration with engineers.

Qualifications
Preferred Education / Experience:
Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
Proficient with 3D CAD modeling. SolidWorks experience preferred.
Proficient with mechanical systems and weldments.
Experience with PDM and ERP systems.
Proficient with GD&T and ANSI Y14.5 drafting standards.
Experience with fabrication methods including forming, welding, machining, and additive manufacturing.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
Must be a self-starter, able to balance priorities between multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work effectively and productively as an individual contributor and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team
5% international and/or domestic travel
