Position Title: Mechanical Designer/Estimator

Department: Pump'n Flo

Reports to: Production Manager

• Uphold and Adhere to Hoffman Hydronics Core Values

• Create preliminary proposal layouts of packages for sale

• Estimate package fabrication costs for sale

• Work with sales on design of package

• Create 3D models of packages and submittal drawings for sale

• Create fabrication folders of package for shop including drawings, equipment lists, purchased items, time sheet, and various documentation sheet

• Check over sales orders for error

• Purchase pipe, steel, and other loose ends as needed to complete package

• Check on equipment deliveries required for the package

• Work out problems with shop and engineerin

• Check over finished package and take picture

• Create package "Installation and Operation Instructions

• Coordinate shipping to jobsit

• Address any other loose ends as required to complete and ship out a package

• Create 3D model libraries

Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree preferred but not required

• Can be final semester drafting student

• Mechanical design experience or mechanical design coursework

• Highly developed interpersonal and analytical skills

Working Conditions:

• Normal office environment

• Moderate lifting may be required to move equipment, files and supplies

• Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours to ensure task are completed
