Use CAD applications to provide design and drafting for commercial HVAC equipment, based on layouts, sketches and drawings.
Specific product applications include sheet metal assemblies, copper piping, electrical, and general assemblies.
Responsible for a sub-project of a major new product development program or the entire smaller scope of a new product development program or cost reduction program.
Able to work with moderate to minimal guidance and direction from others.
Document process improvements as part of standard engineering work.
Ensure all engineering change workflows are followed.
Collaborate with team members from Marketing, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
Occasional travel to Mexico manufacturing site to observe and provide input relative to equipment builds.
Typical educational requirements:
Candidates should have refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical background and experience, including:
Hands-on experience working in an Engineering design environment.
Experience using Pro/ENGINEER (Creo); and Windchill applications.
Knowledge of/experience with material data management systems in order to build Bills of Material (BOMs).
Ability to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while managing multiple priorities.
Solid experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills.
