Konik is partnering with a local equipment manufacturing client that is interested in hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer. The Engineer in this role will focus on designing custom automation equipment. 

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities

• Generate concept CAD models for quoting purposes
• Develop designs for integration to existing equipment and new turn-key equipment
• Maintain accurate bill of materials
• Diagnose and solve mechanical problems
• Interface with customers
• Update and maintain project schedules
• Perform all other duties assigned

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred
• 2+ years designing automation equipment
• SolidWorks proficiency required
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changes and short deadlines
• Must be willing to stay on top of the latest engineering technology and processes
