About the Role

Your primary role will be to learn Sourcing fundamentals while also working through mechanical sourcing projects. The Sourcing Intern may interact with several global team members outside of Sourcing including Engineering, Finance, Operations, Plants, and may also interact with external suppliers.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze spend data and create Dual Sourcing database & dashboard for global Mechanical segment

  • Mechanical tail supplier annual survey update and risk analysis as well as inactive parts management

  • Singer data Category & Sub-category classification cleanup

  • Develop Packaging Optimization strategy and implementation plan (both returnable & expendable)

  • Validate and analyze supplier tooling capacity and production capacity commitment comparing Harman forecast demand and develop mitigation plans

  • Cost model database management

What You Need

  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering

  • Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel to be able to create pivot tables, graphs and build formulas and Powerpoint presentation.

  • Resourceful, result-oriented team player

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

  • Analytical, capable problem solver

What is Nice to Have

  • Experience in a previous Purchasing, Supply Chain internship

  • Automotive industry internship experience

VIEW JOBS 11/3/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-01T00:00 Additional Work Location(s) : About the Role As part of the Mechanical Engineering team, you will be assisting the engineers by creating 3D models, assembly drawings, component drawings, and structural simulations of product designs. What You Will Do Uses CATIA V5 Solid modeling software to develop product concepts and designs of loudspeaker and amplifier assemblies and components. Note: Experience with any 3D CAD software (specifically CATIA V5 or UG) is desirable but not required. * Prepares technical reports and presentations for communication between employees, suppliers, and customers, as necessary. * Utilizes basic Microsoft Office software (ie., Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Assist mechanical engineers and engineering managers in any design development activities and design change notices, with direction. * Conduct design of experiments and other engineering related investigations * Perform other duties as assigned.
