Your Mission: As a Mechanical Calibration Technician, you'll be at the heart of ensuring the accuracy and precision of measurement and testing equipment at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to play a vital role in space exploration!

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular calibration and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist in developing new measurement methods and calibration procedures.
  • Work independently with NASA's cutting-edge technology.
  • Make recommendations to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Adhere to safety requirements to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Share your knowledge and assist in training others.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a NASA background investigation.
  • Ability to pass initial and random drug testing
  • Proficiency in using a personal computer for calibration processes and workload management.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Education and Experience:

  • US DOD Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) Certification or equivalent.

OR

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in calibration, especially in an aerospace environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a lab setting and occasionally outdoors at customer sites.
  • Stamina to perform repetitive movements and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods and adapt to various physical tasks.
