The Mechanical Assembler II position at Aqua-Chem requires a level of mechanical aptitude conducive to learning new skills with a desire to learn.

Schedule: 1st Shift

• Monday

• Thursday, 6:00am

• 4:30pm

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00/hr (Dependent On Experience)

Location: Knoxville, TN; On-site

Essential Duties:

• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.

• Perform basic duties such as bending metal tubing with the use of rolling and bending machines.

• Ability to run a cold and cutoff saw.

• Perform basic assembly of metal materials and pipelines as part of a larger assembly production.

• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space as well as around the manufacturing floor as requested.

• Have basic welding knowledge or the ability to learn to weld (Preferred.) (Mig, Tig, Orbital Welding, Etc.)

• Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard.

• Move materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper workflow.

• Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.

• Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools to assemble components.

• Safety awareness with the willingness to perform duties safely while wearing proper PPE.

• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs.

• Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures.

• Basic shop math and measurement skills

• Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings

• Able to work overtime as required.

Education / Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED

• At least 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferred but not required.
