What you will do:

Blueprint Interpretation:

  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings with precision and accuracy.

Equipment Operation:

  • Operate a variety of hand tools, air tools, hand cutters, and measuring equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain inventory of product in workstations to ensure seamless workflow and production efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

  • Perform thorough quality work checks to identify product defects and record any issues accurately.

  • Adhere to established quality standards and procedures to maintain product integrity.

Rework and Repair:

  • Address any identified defects by reworking or repairing assembled equipment and products according to engineering specifications.

Safety and Cleanliness:

  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.

Physical Ability:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications we prefer:

Computer Proficiency:

  • Basic knowledge of computer operations to access and navigate essential systems and software.

Tool Proficiency:

  • Skilled in the use of both hand and power tools to perform assembly tasks with precision and efficiency.

Customer Support:

  • Assist in meeting customer demands by contributing to the timely completion of assembly projects.

Reading and Comprehension:

  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos related to assembly tasks.

Written Communication:

  • Capable of writing simple correspondence as needed for documentation and communication purposes.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work effectively as part of a team, contributing positively to team dynamics and productivity.
