Reclamation is seeking a worker who is looking for an opportunity to capitalize on his/her expertise working on turbine pumps.
Location: Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Yuma Area Office, Operations and Maintenance Office, Groundwater Management Group, Groundwater Management Team, Yuma, Arizona.

Assists pump mechanics with installation, pulling, repair, assembly, disassembly of turbine, submersible, positive displacement and centrifugal drainage well pumps.
Removes, repairs and replaces pump motors, flow meters, packing glands, bearings, seals, valves, pipe, discharge lines, and air vents.
Develops and rehabilitates observation and drainage wells.
Repairs and maintains solar pumps components.
Conducts inspections of solar pumps according to schedule provided by the Environmental Group and performs routine maintenance and repairs including repairing or replacing loose or broken parts, oil and greasing, and replacing water.
Occasional travel - 2-4 times per month

QUALIFICATIONS FOR TRADES AND LABOR POSITIONS:
Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of job elements. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out elements and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position.
Minimum Requirements for Mechanic Worker I (Turbine Pump):
Possess basic mechanical skills and the aptitude to learn and follow oral instructions regarding the fundamentals of drilling and pump installation and repair.
Performs minor equipment repairs, mechanical, and preventive maintenance with normal supervision.
Possesses the physical ability, as well as the desire, to operate motorized vehicles (including forklifts) and tools (including power tools).
Possesses a valid state commercial driver's license CDL, with a minimum of Class B.
