Mechanic
Basic Function: Maintains all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment throughout the plant and office safely and effectively, to meet organization requirements.
This position is a safety sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her own safety as well as the safety of others.
Shift: Days
Pay: Hourly, to be determined.

Principle Activities and Responsibilities:
Performs all maintenance, including but not limited to preventative, corrective, emergency, contracted, and warranty service on all equipment throughout the plant.
Identifies, repairs and documents electrical and instrumentation equipment malfunctions. Discuss software problems in PLC for equipment operation and control with Facility Managers as required.
Conducts predictive analysis of all systems and equipment periodically to update PM system.
Ensures completion of work orders based on schedule and priority or as required.
Monitors equipment on a regular basis and documents results.
Installs and tests new equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and standard safety procedures.
Supports all company and corporate policies and procedures.
Performs any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the facility.
If no work will ask managers and assist where needed.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing maintenance and operation.
Minimum 2 years' experience with hydraulic powered units.
Experience in troubleshooting and repair of flow meters, PLC's, VFD's, transmitters, motors, switch gear and other process control equipment. Ability to comprehend and interpret blueprint drawings and documents.
Must meet the assessment requirements.
Possess knowledge required to monitor performance of equipment.
Must understand all safety requirements and other communications.
If needed, must be able to stand for the duration of the shift
Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently
Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, walking frequently
Good sight and hearing to avoid hazards
Must be able to communicate
Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE including, but not limited to seat belts, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, and other as may be required by a hot/cold, industrial environment.
Must meet all physical requirements of the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work around smells and strong odors (ammonia).
Must be able to work in extreme outside temperatures both hot and cold
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to pull own weight to enter and exit cab of vehicle and equipment
Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving equipment
May be required to stand and be on feet for extended periods of time
