  What You'll Do
  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Repairs and maintains industrial mobile equipment using hand and power tools, lift trucks and maintenance cranes if available.
Moves, operates, assembles, or dismantles machinery.
Troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary.
Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance such as, but not limited to, changing broken hydraulic lines, O-Ring replacement, changing filters that support engine operation.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

What You'll Need:
Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment preferred
Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
