We have a current opening for a Mobile Mechanic/Driver for our projects in the Dallas, TX area.

The Mobile Mechanic/Driver will report to the Field Superintendent and be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and the rebuilding of major components on heavy equipment, vehicles, and welding/fabrication. The mechanic ensures accurate diagnosis, repair, and/or replacement of components. Additionally, the Mobile Mechanic/Driver travels to perform services and repairs out in the field.

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

• Promotes safe and functional work environment through maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Utilizes mechanical expertise to reduce downtime of company equipment
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance service on equipment and fleet vehicles
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment, repair, and rebuild as required
• Operates vehicles and equipment of varying sizes and types to ensure proper working order
• Maintenance of a clean and organized workspace aligning with a safe and functioning work area
• Safely transport heavy equipment between various jobsites
• Track and manage equipment maintenance work through Tenna

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of previous experience as a mechanic working on construction equipment and trucks/hauling equipment
• Automotive electrical experience, hydraulic experience, etc.
• Fabrication skills; welding, cutting, grinding, etc.
• Must have valid Commercial Driver's license, Class A, with clean DMV
• Ability travel throughout the State is a requirement for the job
• Experience and skill in operating tools equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair and services of vehicles and equipment
• Ability to diagnose defects in and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles
• Class A License, required
• Experience with welding, preferred
• Experience working in an equipment rental environment, preferred

Salary Range:

• $28.00/hour - $38.00/hour
