Job Summary:

The Mechanic I will maintain proper working order of all Company equipment while working toward advancement in the progression plan and make decisions regarding the servicing of Company equipment.

Relationships:

  • Directly reporting to Maintenance Supervisor

Job Duties & Essential Functions:

  • Ensure continual compliance with all Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Keane Partnership, as well as client policies and regulations.

  • Demonstrate proper driving technique in applicable DOT vehicles.

  • Obtain any certifications and licenses required.

  • Learn basic auxiliary equipment involved in maintenance operations.

  • Continued record of focus on service, quality, and safety.

  • Read diagrams/schematics for work procedures.

  • Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery in a safe manner.

  • Perform routine maintenance, as well as non-routine repairs, to all the Company's assets.

  • Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform other routine maintenance work.

  • Keep abreast of changes to industry standards.

  • Work is safety inspected and checked upon completion.

  • Verify that equipment is DOT compliant upon completion of all repairs.

  • Perform all other duties assigned.

Education & Experience required:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

  • 1-3 years of shop or field experience

  • Technical Degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education (Preferred)

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics to perform component troubleshooting. (Preferred)

  • Ability to read and write English.

  • Ability to understand and apply basic diagnostic principles

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Mixed

  • Frequent Climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain).

  • Frequent lifting (50 pounds).

  • Frequent bending, twisting and standing.

  • Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions.

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

  • Shop/Field: This job operates mostly on the shop and field. May be required to work in a nine to twelve-hour shift following a 14/7 rotation. He/she must be flexible to work for extended, non-standard hours whenever there is a requirement. The job demands standing, walking for periods of 12 + hours per day and lifting up to 50 lbs.
