SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains production machinery and mechanical equipment such as, coating lines, print lines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, skid tumbler, band saw, ovens, incinerators, all ancillary equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.Be knowledgeable on all equipment in the Litho department so as to have the ability to set up,

adjust, repair, and maintain all of the equipment within a proficient time frame.

2.Be knowledgeable and proficient in adjustment, repair and use of all line support equipment

such as strappers, stretch wrapper, conveyors, band saw and welding equipment.

3.Recommend any necessary repairs or improvements to equipment to the supervisor or

manager.

4.Work with Litho engineer on major breakdowns and overhaul work

5.Be willing to work the hours necessary to accomplish job requirements and demonstrate

consistent dependability.

6.Maintain all standard maintenance procedures with qualified log.

7.Keep a quantitive supply of parts available for most eventualities.

8.Must be able to communicate in a positive manner with all co-workers.

9.Will follow company personnel and product safety requirements including standards such as

those from SQF and internal GMPs.



  1. Must follow proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with

State and Federal laws.



  1. Travel is required as needed for this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: One year certificate from a college or technical school: or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read in English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have completed journeyman training requirement as required by the Company or similar training elsewhere.

Must possess a valid State issued driver's licenses, which meets Company requirements of the Fleet Management Policy and insurance requirements. Must be certified in CPR; basic first aid and fully trained in Lockout and Tagout requirements.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration and occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
