JOB SUMMARY:

Provide daily support to Maintenance, Packaging and Compounding Operations. To ensure that Packaging, Compounding and Maintenance are equipped with the appropriate tools and supplies necessary to produce effectively and efficiently. The essential duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of those required on the job. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES:

Mechanic I

  • Basic working knowledge of hand tools and how to effectively use hand tools in a repair setting. Working knowledge of shop tools and repair equipment (i.e. drills, grinders, etc.)

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical prints and drawings.

  • Familiar with cGMP and GDP practices and all equipment safety requirements.

  • Perform complete Pkg. line changes for every Pkg. line in the assigned location.

  • Display a working knowledge and understanding of basic mechanical and electrical applications.

  • Ability to perform in a fast pace and team environment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of pumps and valves.

Mechanic II Additional

  • Advanced working knowledge of hand tools and how to effectively use hand tools in a repair setting.

  • Perform all maintenance repair functions throughout production and warehouse. Effectively troubleshoot minor electrical issues using basic electrical test equipment.

  • Work with other department leaders to complete continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

At 1-3 years' experience preferred in a Maintenance and/or Manufacturing and high-speed environment. Must have experience and understanding of basic mechanical applications. Previous cGMP experience required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

This position requires the individual be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Exhibit good documentation practices with neat and legible hand writing. Proficient Microsoft Office Products. Basic knowledge of basic hand tools. Ability to read and understand drawings and prints in English

The physical requirements and working conditions listed for this job are representative of those required on the job. Typical office environment requiring the use of typical office equipment (e.g. computers, phones, etc.). Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, talk and hear, occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. frequently required to stand, sit, walk, talk and hear, occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Safety Glass are required on the floor.
