Summary: Responsible for maintenance of equipment and facilities; including predictive/preventive maintenance (planned), corrective/emergency maintenance, as well participating in upgrading existing equipment and installation of new equipment. All to be accomplished while ensuring that the equipment and facilities meet GMP requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoses and repairs the cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment, performs preventative and corrective maintenance.

  • Electrical, mechanical and facilities equipment installation, improvement/modification with the goal of improving uptime/reliability and throughput.

  • Maintain good housing keeping and safety compliance meeting both company requirement and GMP standards.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Associate degree (A.A.), Technical school or above in electric/mechanic-electric, or six plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications: Working knowledge of Electric and Electrical devices from high voltage to control voltages.

Familiar with PLC programs. Exceptional mechanical knowledge and prowess.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write/fill out routine reports and correspondence.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Have good judgment and decision-making skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, influence, planning and execution skills.

Computer Skills: Ability to learn and use standard specialized computer software and hardware, including but not limited to Microsoft Office/Teams, Enterprise software (SAP), PLC programing software and other hardware specific software.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
