The Compressor Station Operator for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache's Alpine Midstream Maintenance at the company's Pecos, TX office reporting to the Compression Supervisor. Provide technical advice and support for the safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient operation of rotating equipment, including compressor engines, compressor frames, generators, motors, and pumps Operate Compressor Stations within company, local, and state guidlines. Including compressor units, dehydration systems, separation tanks and filter vessels. Analyze engines for optimum performance and optimize for fuel and cost efficiency while providing flow assurance and meeting emissions criteria Coordinate air program requirements with HSE team, including scheduling/conducting emissions testing Stay abreast of manufacturer's recommendations/improvements for preventative maintenance and for any upgrades, and ensure timely completion as appropriate Ensure engine oil samples are pulled, analyzed, and acted upon accordingly Coordinate inventory of spare and critical parts
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience. A minimum of 5 years' experience in rotating equipment maintenance. Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and a good background in computer applications. Must be available for call-outs 24 hours/day, 7 days a week. An associate or bachelor's degree in Mechanical technology is preferred A minimum of 3 years' experience with CAT Natural Gas Engine Maintenance. A minimum of 3 years' experience with Ariel Compressor Maintenance.
