Responsibilities

  • Performs proper PM checks on all permanent equipment:

  • Check steam traps

  • Check operation of pneumatic actuators, T stats

  • Lubricate bearings

  • Check and change as required: filters, belts, equipment operating parameters, drip pans

  • Maintains mechanical equipment rooms

  • Check operating parameters on all equipment

  • Troubleshoots and completes major repairs in a timely manner:

  • Access and troubleshoot EMS system

  • Calibrate pneumatic actuators, T stats

  • Change adjust belts, bearings, sheaves

  • Proficient use of all hand tools

  • Pump repair

  • Proficient in maintaining environmental equipment and systems:

  • Clean and test ADI flow indicators

  • Respond to Fire Alarms as part of Fire Response Team

  • Applies all safety standards for safety and health

  • Checks and troubleshoots equipment parameters

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in the HVAC field .

  • High School graduate, or G.E.D.

  • Read, write and speak English at a minimum 6'th grade level. Follow written and verbal instructions and complete high school level computational skills.

  • Valid and clean NYS driver's license
