Kett Engineering is seeking applicants in the automotive field for an entry-level position to work with our customer working on prototype vehicles in Elmendorf, TX. The ideal candidates will be attending a trade school studying curriculum of interest: Diesel/Light to Heavy Truck Technology A.A.S. First or second year students are ideal candidates.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to start their career with an established automotive testing company. Flexibility with hours due to the candidate's school schedule. This will be an entry-level part time position, 20-30 hours (depending on school schedule). Upon graduating, there is an opportunity for full time employment.

Mechanic Duties may include:

• Incumbent with work hands-on completing minor repairs and/or service on prototype vehicles.

• Perform minor repairs and diagnostics on Medium duty trucks, Buses, and Heavy duty trucks. Powertrains may include Diesel and Alternative Fuels.

• Assist Diesel Mechanics to include: assemble, disassemble, inspect, repair and install components on vehicles - including engines and powertrain.

• Work may include all vehicle components or systems including engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, electrical, HVAC, cooling, interiors, cabs, frames, etc.

• Start and maintain necessary documentation, records, and information.

• General labor duties, i.e. cleaning, painting

Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in a technology A.A.A. degree program in one of the below:

• Automated Industrial Processing Electronics/Mechatronics, A.A.S.

• Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT), A.A.S.
