Territory:

This position is based out of Crown's Atlanta Branch location and will provide coverage to Marietta and surrounding areas.

Internal Title: Field Service Technician

Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.

  • Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.

  • Maintain a service van and its inventory.

  • Process paperwork after completion of each job.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.

  • Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.

  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

  • Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.

Repairs and maintains diesel tractor/trailer and/or refrigeration equipment and any other work associated with tractor/trailer repair. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions, drive trains, and tires for tractors, trailers, and refrigeration equipment. * Performs preventative maintenance services, including changing oil, checking fluids, inspecting batteries, testing lights, and lubricating equipment. * Establishes and maintains positive working relationships. * Receives and carries out instructions. * Maintains regular and predictable attendance. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Communicates effectively. * Possesses knowledge of skilled trades such as automotive or diesel mechanics. * Displays electrical and diagnostic skills. * Exhibits ability to read, write, talk, and hear; add, subtract, multiply, and divide; and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as required. * Uses computers and software programs proficiently. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
