Requirements:

At least 1 year experience performing maintnance and repairs on heavy equipment and vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects and tests vehicles and heavy equipment for functionality.

  • Inspects vehicle and equipment engine components to diagnose issues accurately.

  • Performs repairs on heavy equipment and vehicles with moderate supervision/direction.

  • Conducts routine and preventative maintenance work on heavy equipment and vehicles.

  • Maintains vehicle and equipment records by recording service and repairs.

VIEW JOBS 4/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-18T00:00 Position: Maintenance Mechanic Location: Macon, GA Reports To: Plant Manager Hourly Role: $25/hour SCOPE OF POSITION Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for but is not limited to maintaining, rebuilding, repair, and the preventative maintenance of all plant operating equipment and facility buildings. Responsible for ensuring all related SOP's and plant rules pertaining to RMP, PSM, safety, operating procedures, and personal conduct are followed. This job requires diversity in mechanical ability to perform overall plant maintenance. Work includes tank vessel opening and clean outs, changing of piping, valves and general plant upkeep and maintenance .This job requires climbing stairs and ladders and also lifting (within OSHA guidelines). This job consists of outside elements where radiant heat or cold is normal work environment. RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform certified welding, cutting and burning. * Perform pump, gearbox and motor repair. * Perform mechanical power transmission coupling and sheave alignment. * Responsible for the process and utility piping. * Inform Maintenance Supervisor of need to order parts consumed or for job completion. * Serve on Emergency Response Team. * Complete all work instructions (work orders) and forms relating to maintenance, safety, and preventive maintenance, keep paperwork neat and clean. * Timely reporting of any nonconformance issues in operations and make recommendations for corrective and preventive actions. * Operation of the following mobile equipment: Manlift, Forklifts and other mobile equipment * Replacement of nuts and bolts in pipe flanges ranging in size from 1" - 48" diameter flanges. * Physical capability of performing tasks in 100 degree ambient temperatures while wearing Protective Personal Protection such as Acid Resistant approved PVC rain suit (topcoat, bottom pants, rubber boots, gloves and face shield). * Must be able to work scheduled 8-hour days with intermittent 14 – 16 hour days for emergency repairs. * Maintain weekly timesheets in accurate format. * Follow all plant Rules & Regulations including lack of tardiness and absenteeism. * Be able to comply with all plant safety rules such as: * Maintain and document PPE condition. * Should be able to pass random drug testing. * Meet annual plant physical exam requirements. * Perform tasks utilizing all PPE. * Following all plant safety guidelines such as: Confined Space, Line Breaking, Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, High Work, and Management of Change (MOC). * Comply with all mechanical integrity procedures. * Comply with all plant maintenance procedures. * Perform typical labor requirements such as cleaning, sweeping, tool room and warehouse inventory, trash removal, digging, weed spraying, shoveling, fire watch and confined space attendance/entrant, and other duties assigned by Supervisor. REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma or GED equivalent. * More than 3 years of relevant experience in industrial or chemical environment highly preferred. * Ability to use computer effectively, Microsoft programs, maintenance management system, e-mail, etc. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer's literature, diagrams or schematics. * Must be able to complete specific job function training and/or certification programs. * Ability to work off-shift requirements including: periodic emergency call out during off shift, including weekends and holidays. * Must be capable of performing tasks in 100 degree ambient temperatures while wearing personal protective equipment. #chemtrade123 WHY JOIN OUR TEAM?
