• Perform a variety of semiskilled tasks in at least two trades in connection with the maintenance, repair and/or construction of buildings and facilities and related equipment and machinery.

• Function at the sub-journey level in trades such as carpentry, cabinet making, roofing, painting, or other trades that are less technical and complex. Positions may also perform sub-journey level work in other trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations

• Perform tasks ranging from general and routine assignments to those of moderate complexity requiring the application of knowledge and ability acquired from on-the-job training.

Longleaf Neuro Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC) is a certified Medicare and Medicaid facility nursing home that provides a continuum of care to both adults with severe and persistent mental illness that also have long-term medical conditions requiring residential, medical and nursing care, and to adults with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or other related dementia.   LNMTC facilitates high quality skilled and intermediate nursing care throughout four Nursing Unit Floors and an Alzheimer's Unit that operates 24 hours seven days a week, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts.

•  Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

• Physical strength sufficient to perform heavy physical tasks for extended periods of time.

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma or a sufficient year-for-year combination of education and experience associated with a variety of mechanical or building trades

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Special Qualification May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.
