Meat Production Wrap Associate

The Meat Production Wrap Associate reports to the Meat Floor Supervisor. He/she is responsible for the proper wrapping and labeling of all meat products. They are also responsible for the cleanliness of all wrap room equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Handle raw beef, pork, poultry, and seafood.

• Identify all breeds of meat and types of cuts from each breed.

• Use automatic and manual wrap machines to wrap and label product.

• Maintain cleanliness of all utensils and equipment used within the wrap room operation.

• Follow safety/health protocols set in place by the company.

• Assist with ensuring safe work environment for our employees and a safe customer experience for our customers.

• Maintain a healthy working relationship with peers.

• Demonstrate and support a high level of integrity. Represent Freshfields Farm in a courteous and professional manner while interacting with all customers and coworkers.

• Occasionally use ladders for various purposes throughout the building.

• Occasionally use knives for purposes of cutting/prepping food.

• Assist with any other tasks within the building that require additional manpower.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

None Required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Strong attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and protocol manuals.
