ResponsibilitiesAs an employee of Coborn's, Inc., the Meat Department Manager III ensures the successful operation of the department by obtaining maximum sales and gross profits through effective utilization of personnel and resources available. Duties include accurate recordkeeping, customer service, employee relations, labor, gross profit, expense control, inventory, shrink, public relations, stocking, controlling freshness by rotating removing out-of-date merchandise, and providing front end support by running a register, bagging or carrying out groceries.

Responsible for directing and coordinating the ordering, receiving, merchandising, pricing, freshness, housekeeping of work, display and storage areas, food safety and safety programs. Directing staff to include: directing workload, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision.QualificationsThe Meat Department Manager III position requires an Associate's Degree, or two to four years of experience, preferably in a retail environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One to two years of previous managerial experience is preferred.

This position requires the need to provide exceptional customer service by treating all customers and co-workers with dignity and respect. Must be self-motivated, energetic and customer service oriented.Overview

Minimum Requirements Degrees High School Diploma (Preferred) Job Experience One (1) year prior retail or other related experience preferred Supervisory Experience NONE Responsibilities and Essential Duties Follow established recipes to grind and tray meats and make sausage and other products Price, date, wrap and/or bag meat products per established guidelines using department scales Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines Properly fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays; rotate fill meat, fresh meat, frozen meat and lunch meat cases.
