The Performance and Emissions department developed benchmark HDEP and MDEG engine lines meeting current emissions legislations. To keep the market leadership position and meet future emission legislation challenges our products have to improve further towards our strategy "transcending compliance" which requires a strong leadership position in engine controls.
Lead current MDEG & HDEP and future engine controls development and testing
Lead MDEG engine models for NAFTA
Lead calibration for all MDEG engine controls
Implement for P&E Ultra-Low NOX future engine controls requirements
Integrate Transcending compliance strategy to improve future diesel engines (beyond 2020)
Organize and lead a NAFTA engine controls Cross Functional Team
Closely collaborate with MDEG &HDEP engine models and controls teams in Germany
Introduce DIVE for engine controls development and testing and lead CFT team
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience OR an associate's degree with 4 years of related experience OR 8 years of related experience required. Master degree or higher education for Diesel combustion engine controls preferred
At least 1 year of group leader, project lead, or mentoring experience required

Fluid ability for use of standard control architecture tools - Matlab/Simulink required
Must have education or being an expert in Diesel Engine operation
Diesel engine thermodynamic parameters calibration like EGR, BOI, Lambda to reduce emissions required
Diesel engine exhaust aftertreatment modeling required
"In - use" emissions truck testing and optimization required
Education or knowledge of thermodynamics required
Exhaust emissions testing procedures, instrumentations, and related federal regulations (EPA emissions standards, Green-House Gas Emissions standards for medium-duty and heavy-duty Diesel engines) required
Education or knowledge of technologies to improve efficiencies preferred
Education or knowledge of SI engines preferred
