Job Description:

We are hiring a Medicare Sales Director to support our Dual Special Needs Plans. This role will not manage people more so manage business and strategy for our Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans while collaborating with local market GMs and Sales leaders to remove sales obstacles and put each market in the best position possible to achieve their DSNP sales goals. Assist in developing sales strategy and tactics based on best practices to optimize each market's go to market execution.

Opportunity is virtual (work from home) and we are willing to consider candidates based on their location. This is a high profile job within our thriving Medicare sales organization. This individual will have the opportunity to lead, grow and be compensated and recognized based on the positive impact they have in working with markets. Travel will be required, often and frequently through out the yearly sales cycle and AEP Season

Fundamental Components:

  • Consult with Sales Leaders & GMs to help identify market specific opportunities to increase DSNP sales

  • Spend time on the ground to identify obstacles to sales then work with internal partners to remove those obstacles

  • Participate in DSNP sales strategy development efforts and assist with execution as needed

  • Assist in implementing agreed upon DSNP sales initiatives with the local market team

  • Provide constructive feedback to local sales leadership based on first hand observation from time spent in the field with sales reps

  • Share key data observations with assigned markets to uncover potential sales opportunities or potential pitfalls

  • Assist in developing new collateral to pursue new sales opportunities

  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices and processes across all markets

  • Assist in onboarding new Sales Leaders

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 5+ years of successful sales management/ leadership experience including coaching sales reps in the field

  • This individual will have extensive, successful DSNP sales and sales strategy experience.

  • Have sold DSNP personally at some point in their career. Experience leading a team of DSNP sales reps

  • Developed market wide DSNP sales strategies

  • Participated in the development of local DSNP marketing plans

  • Participated in the DSNP product development process.

  • 3+ years experience of successful sales experience where livelihood was dependent on making sales

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with multiple GM's and Sales Leaders across a matrix organization

  • Very strong sales process and driven organization

  • Ability to develop sales strategy by leveraging data

  • Strong ability and willingness to collaborate across multiple markets

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Acts as subject matter expert and drive meaningful growth, retention, profitability and diversification of assigned Vendor programs in assigned territory for Key Government Finance (KGF). Drive sales process including sales calls, prepare proposals, submit credit packages and facilitate transactions to closure with KGF Account Executives. Vendor programs assigned may be large and of a complex nature. * Promote finance culture within assigned Vendor relationships. * Educate, train and motivate Vendor Account Executives, Sales Management, Licensing Executives, Controllers, Partners, Virtual Sales and other relevant influencers of the Vendor. * Develop capable and proficient financing structures that balance the Vendor's/Customer's needs with that of KGF's financial, underwriting and operational parameters. * Responsible for executing on relationship management goals for assigned Vendor program(s) territory to ensure profitable, risk-managed financing volumes can be originated by KGF Sales group. * Through a deep understanding of the Vendor relationship, identify new business opportunities and set strategy to drive pipeline, financing penetration, growth and diversification of the Vendor's total sales. * Build strong relationships with Vendor partners. * Proactively manage key stakeholders at the Vendor including C-level contacts in sales, treasury, credit, marketing, operations, finance, business development and program relationship managers. * Ensure all stakeholders understand KGF value proposition and KGF understands the Vendor's strategic and tactical needs/requirements. * Oversee and collaborate on KGF internal execution of all program elements and create alignment around client needs and requirements. * Coordinate with business development representatives on program launch and enable execution through sales and functional partnerships. * Establish and gain agreement on a joint business plan/strategy with key stakeholders at the Vendor. Update annually (or more frequently) as the business environment evolves. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: * Create pipeline, structure individual transactions, respond to Vendor inquiries and set appropriate expectations with Vendor. * Build, grow and maintain a broad and deep network of contacts within the assigned Vendor organization. * Make direct Customer calls with Vendor representatives and reseller partners as requested to C-level executives and sales representatives to further Vendor product sales. * Leverage KeyBank network to create opportunities for Customer growth and to enhance the Vendor experience. * Contribute to Vendor program strategy; enable execution to meet/exceed relationship objectives related to pipeline, new business volume, financing penetration, growth, diversity, profitability, etc. * Lead cross functional activities to finalize Underwriting, Originations, Legal, Pricing and Funding in a timely fashion and in accordance with delegations of authority. * Pro-actively engage key Vendor stakeholders to ensure deep satisfaction with KGF. * Jointly with the Vendor, create, direct and implement financial, operational and strategic plans for the assigned Vendor programs. * Coordinate efforts and support day-to-day activities of KGF Account Executives also assigned to Vendor programs to ensure execution of program objectives/strategies. * Indentify Vendor and end-user requirements to ensure development and implementation of strategic account plans elements and targeted financial product offerings. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal constituents, and meet with these departments on a regular basis to ensure overall Vendor satisfaction and success. Gain strong buy-in and support of KGF. * Participation in industry events to include trade shows, national/regional sales meetings and market segment training. * Provide internal constituents with updated information, and training materials on a periodic basis, to ensure that all parties execute operational requirements and implement agreed upon changes or modifications to existing programs. * Involvement with KGF Account Executives relative to all program/finance opportunities, including pricing, RFP review and written/oral communication with Vendor partners. * Keep internal management abreast of changes to the appropriate industry, and recommend strategy changes/modifications where appropriate. * Establish relationship scorecards, key performance indicators and reporting mechanisms to communicate program success. * Participate in the managment and coordination of scorecards, quarterly business reviews and periodic reporting requirements. * Other duties as assigned by Manager and Program Manager.
