Aetna is hiring a Regional Sales Manager to support multiple Western Regions and Territories and markets: Markets can include: IL, Iowa, KS, Idaho, AZ, CA, UT, Montana, North/ South Dakota, Colorado and Nevada

The position is full time telework (work from home) because the employee will need to travel through out the territories BUT the candidate does need to reside in 1 of the states listed in the territory.

Our Regional Sales Manager is responsible for client account management, working with brokers/ agents, building distribution channels and business retention for Aetna products and services. You will develop and cultivate strong relationships with key constituents to maximize sales opportunities and achieve profitable growth for our suite of Healthcare and additional product lines.

Fundamental Components:

(*) Oversees a block of business or may develop new business opportunities to ensure profitable customers and help grow the business through consultative selling, issue resolution and superior service.

(*) Manages and builds producer relations as needed depending on book of business or market segment(s) being supported.

(*) Identifies various ways to partner with the client by drawing from entire spectrum of product line illustrating a keen understanding of clients multifaceted needs and benefits of Aetna's full product array.

(*) Collaborates with internal partners and/or external constituents to uncover profitable growth and cross-sell opportunities within new or existing customers and to support post-sale activities.

(*) Coordinates sales materials, testimonials and subject matter expert involvement in support of the successful delivery of constituent presentations.

(*) Develops/maintains and communicates expertise on products, industry and emerging marketplace trends.


(*) 1 - 5+ years of industry and sales experience

(*) Medicare Sales Experience strongly preferred

(*) Sales License is required


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Essential Job Functions * Key initiator of new business development targeting medium to large sized State and Local Government Accounts for long-term and strategic penetration. * Independently calls on mid to senior-level executives and other representatives to generate product, program, and consulting sales. * Diagnoses and assesses client needs. Prescribes, designs, and implements strategic interventions using the full range of existing or custom Franklin Covey content, products, and / or programs. * Presents and provides individual client consultations in context with overall intervention strategy as needed. * Writes and oversees effective business proposals. * Closes business consistently within the Franklin Covey guidelines developed for product and services mix and pricing. * Designs custom programs and tailors standard programs to meet individual client needs. * Designs account strategy and business development to develop new and existing accounts. * Develops and executes on territory marketing and management plan to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets. Job Requirements Requirements This position requires a minimum of 7+ years of experience in corporate sales, preferably in a professional services environment selling to the State and Local Government organizations. A stable work history and successful track record of personal sales performance in a large corporate environment are essential. Requires a consultative sales background with demonstrated skills in the areas of lead generation, forecasting, prospecting and driving opportunities to closure. BA/BS in business or related field is required. A well-developed pattern of achievement, competitive skills, energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity is critical to success in this role. Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential; must be able to create and deliver compelling, polished sales presentations to both line leadership and senior corporate executives within target companies.
