MTSI is looking to hire an MDA Target Requirements Engineer to serve as a key member of the MDA Target Requirements Team's technical staff. Candidate will be supporting the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, AL.
The technical staff performs all necessary data/requirements development and interfaces with the EIT Target team requirements' staff who translate the requirements into formal documents. This position requires the ability to evaluate intelligence based threat system performance to:
Define real world threat scenarios that allows relevant Initial Target Parameters (ITPs) to be derived that guide the Integrated Master Test Plan (IMTP) development for future planned flight tests.
Provide the threat relevant technical details to develop Target System Performance Specifications (TSPS) to enable procurement of targets to support planned flight tests.
Provide the threat relevant parameters for the Target Trajectory Memorandum (TTM) that defines specific parameters needed to successfully complete a flight test. Perform feasibility and Threat Realism assessments of the Target trajectory against the Threat. Review target requirements documents for technical rigor and consistency with the threat.
Bachelors in science or engineering with 5 years' experience in analysis of threat and/or target trajectory/kinematic performance and signatures (RF and IR).
Experience with standalone threat/target modeling and analysis tools to include Pioneer, OSC and TGx.
Experience coding in Fortran, Java, Matlab, and Excel to support data extraction and analysis of extracted data.
