POSITION OVERVIEW

This Kitchens Culinary Manager will manage the employees and activities of the McCormick Kitchens to drive innovation and deliver product, recipe and content development supporting our family of brands, Club and E-commerce Channels. Proactively, this Manager strategic plans, evaluates, and executes Innovation, Marketing, Public Relations and Sales plans that incorporate the principles and best practices of content development as well as recipe marketing that drive results. S/he also delivers and influences business-building food ideas to exceed consumers' expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works cross-functionally to provide culinary expertise through the product and content development processes. Ensures Kitchens' voice is present from front-end design through final content/product delivery. Works closely with Brand, Innovation, Digital, Shopper Marketing, Public Relations, E-commerce, Licensing, Product Development and other teams to deliver best in class products, recipes and content.

  • Actively provides culinary and strategic leadership for McCormick Kitchens projects. Supervises the development of gold standard recipes and culinary prototypes for new product concepts, line extensions and digital content including photo and video shoots, info-graphics and article content.

  • Implements and evolves best-in-class practices/procedures for consumer culinary recipe, content and product development.

  • Leads team to track and broadly share food/flavor trends with CPD and external agency teams including cuisines, ingredients, preparation methods, equipment, and demographic as well as generational preferences. Leads process of turning insights into action by creating trend-based proto-types to share internally.

  • Provides on-going coaching, development and management of direct reports to include providing feedback on performance, setting Objectives, Goals, Strategies & Measures (OGSMs) to drive business initiatives and creating Development Plans to ensure professional growth and career progression.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Culinary, Culinary Nutrition, Culinary Science, Consumer Science or other applicable discipline such as Marketing or Business

  • Minimum 10 years of culinary experience to include significant recipe and product development as well as a concentration in CPG consumer test kitchens

  • Experience creating branded retail consumer-centric recipes and content including photo and video shoots

  • Experience managing a team of direct reports

  • Experience working with Brand Management, Innovation, Sales and Digital Teams for product and content creation as well as sell-in process participation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and collaborate cross-functionally

  • Experience leading and influencing to continue moving a department forward and obtaining favorable results for the business

  • Experience managing complex projects and applying excellent problem-solving skills to effectively deal with limited or ambiguous details/information

  • Excellent presentation skills and proficiency speaking in front of groups to include senior leaders

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20-25% of the time

POSITION OVERVIEW Incumbent is responsible for the global approach, design and implementation of profitability, financial reporting and analytics, and data hierarchies and dimensions for the corporation. The MAC Manager will leverage the power of financial systems to develop high-impact reporting and analysis tools for finance teams and senior leadership. The Manager will work closely with other MAC members to continuously improve both systems and processes. The MAC Manager will also drive adoption and support, and help users get the maximum value from the systems. RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides the primary input into creating the global approach and leveraging the power of McCormick's financial systems (ie: TM1 and SAP) to develop management reports, graphical dashboards, scorecards, and other analytical tools. * Collaborates with finance teams to define information requirements and recommend solutions. * Develops enterprise reporting "standards," and administers the portfolio of enterprise system reporting objects. * Independently leads a team to identify financial systems problems, needs and/or issues, probe for root causes, and evaluate alternative business solutions and approaches, understanding the implications of different technical and process choices as well as the leveraging best practices. * Implements corrective actions, integrate business requirements into solutions as well as to effectively communicate the situation, actions & solutions to senior local, regional management and corporate management. * Leads process and technology improvement projects, to include the implementation of changes or enhancements to financial system structures, metadata, and data to optimize reporting and analysis capabilities. * Drives initiatives to leverage and support the adoption and reinforcement of the financial systems and processes. Works with finance leaders to identify knowledge gaps in their team's analytical skills and abilities. Creates and delivers or manages delivery of training sessions, user groups, or addressing direct questions from users from McCormick business units. * Responsible for critical elements of system administration. Runs and monitors system processes and security. Performs data validation activities. Assists with the investigation and resolution of data and system issues.
