The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a 2-year leadership development pipeline accelerating professional growth through a unique combination of rotational assignments, extensive training in business, technical skills experience, leadership competency enhancement and mentoring for recent MBA graduates.

Each rotational assignment is approximately 6 months in length and may include the following departments: Healthcare Management, Provider Services, Member Services, Network/Contracting, Sales, Digital Technology, Business Development, and Health Plan Operations.

Rotations will focus on building technical depth in essential functions, leading edge techniques, project management, business cycle dynamics, analyses and process improvement. They will be characterized by measurable accomplishments combined with leadership opportunities.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manages stretch projects and make decisions with real consequences, all with the ultimate goal of positively impacting the health of all Americans

  • Conducts comprehensive research and analysis, develops an unbiased point of view, and makes recommendations on critical issues

  • Monitors competitor activity noting successful strategies and pitfalls, and evaluates Anthem performance in relation to the market and industry benchmarks

  • Delivers innovative solutions to disrupt a complex system and improve health outcomes for our members

Qualifications:

  • Requires an MBA; 4 years of related business experience in medical/health administration, insurance, business administration, finance, accounting or marketing; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in a fast paced challenging environment

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner

  • Ability to travel required.
