Position Profile

Position Summary

This position will identify and lead initiatives related to reducing damages and shortages for all logistics functions as well as being responsible for developing and managing home delivery service performance metrics. This includes the development and use of analytics to identify areas of opportunity to drive continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to reduce damages and shortages for all logistics functions.

  • Develop and maintain returns and allowances database for all brands and channels across the MBCI network.

  • Develop and maintain Home Delivery customer service performance metrics.

  • Collaborates with internal and external organizations on key damages and shortages related initiatives.

  • Provide timely and accurate updates of service performance and damages and shortages reduction progress to Logistics Leadership team.

  • Conduct manufacturing operations and Home Delivery dock site visits to review progress of process improvement initiatives developed for damages and shortages reduction efforts.

  • Perform frequent analysis of data to spot trends and exceptional opportunities; report findings to process owners

  • Maintain and upkeep of Home Delivery team Gemba board to show active work underway to improve service and reduce damages and shortages.

  • Develop database exception management tools to track daily exceptions.

  • Employ project management skills in leading identified initiatives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain Business or related field strongly preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in Logistics/Transportation Management including demonstrated use of analytics

  • 2 years' experience with developing SQL for ODBC and a firm understanding of RDBM in MS Access

  • 2 years' experience with project management

  • Demonstrated formal project management experience

  • Lean/Six Sigma training and/or certification preferred

  • ISM/APICS certification preferred

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (MS Access Excel Outlook PowerPoint etc.); MS Access certification preferred

  • Up to 25% travel required
