Job Title: Maxwell Institute Non-Compensated Visiting Scholar

Desired start date: January 1, 2019 (annual term) or June 1, 2019 (2-3 month term)

Posting close date: October 8, 2018

PhD required

Experience: Advanced graduate student or current university faculty member. Experience researching and writing in fields closely associated with scripture, history, law, and/or philosophy/theology related to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is strongly preferred.

Duties/Expectations: Be in residence at the Neal A.

Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship as an affiliate faculty for a one year term to commence on January 1, 2019; or for a 2-3 month term to commence on or near June 1, 2019 and ending before August 31, 2018. While in residence at the Institute the visiting scholar will be expected to pursue a major research project consistent with the mission of the Maxwell Institute. Affiliate faculty are expected to contribute to the intellectual vitality of the Maxwell Institute by attending Institute events, participating in forums and discussions, and other forms of engagement.

This is a non-compensated position.
