Job Description:
We are looking for energetic and driven individuals to join our team as Mattress and Box Spring Stripping Technicians. In this role, you will be responsible for dismantling and recycling mattresses and box springs according to our established procedures. This job requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strip and dismantle mattresses and box springs efficiently and safely.
- Sort and separate materials for recycling.
- Use provided tools and equipment correctly and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear provided safety gear.
- Meet productivity and quality targets.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role is preferred but not required.
Compensation:
- Base pay of $18 per hour.
- Additional $1 per mattress stripped.
- Additional $0.50 per box spring stripped.
- Potential earnings of $22-$30 per hour based on performance and speed.
Schedule:
- 3-4 days per week, or as demand sees fit - no weekends!
- 30-40 hours per week, with shifts starting at 9am.
