Job Summary:

• Implement the curriculum as aligned to New Jersey Student Learning Standards;

• Prepare and implement lessons that provide meaningful learning experiences for students;

• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse student learners;

• Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff;

• Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required;

• Attend professional development sessions in order to further advance professional practice;

• Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campus;

• Differentiate academic instruction for students at varying levels of attainment to maximize student potential;

• Create a stimulating, aesthetically welcoming, organized, functional, healthy, and safe classroom;

• Utilize technology effectively in lessons, including gathering and managing student data;

• Perform non-instructional duties with timeliness and accuracy;

• Continue to grow professionally through collaboration with colleagues and professional growth experiences;

• Maintain a reflective teaching practice.

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Grades 5-8 Mathematics Content Certification required;

• Middle School teaching experience preferred.

Working Conditions: Hackensack Middle School

Salary: As per HBOE/HEA Agreement
