RPA is seeking to hire a full-time high school mathematics teacher for the 2024-25 school year. The position is open until filled.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
Develops and administers mathematics curriculum consistent with RPA's goals and objectives.
Teaches knowledge and skills in Algebra I or other math courses as assigned.
Teaches knowledge and skills in mathematics and promotes creative thinking and analysis in math.
Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of mathematics to everyday existence and problem-solving.
Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to personalized and small group instruction, and student learning.
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials that challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
Math knowledge that includes Algebra knowledge.
Ability to successfully work as part of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
Ability to build high-quality relationships with students.
Willingness to embrace the vision, mission, and values of RPA.

Certification/License
