The responsibility of this temporary position is to provide assistance to students enrolled in the Math courses, with a primary focus on corequisite Math courses. This position will be providing support in and out of the classroom, as needed by students and the instructor.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated competence (at least an A-) in MATH 107 (Liberal Arts Math), MATH 110 (College Algebra), or MATH 140 (Pre-Calculus) or a comparable course.
Completed the equivalent of two years of college course work.
Strong foundation in math skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience with teaching or tutoring.
Candidate must be committed to student retention and success and display exceptional interpersonal and team-working skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference to candidates with experience in individual and group mentoring and tutoring at the college level.
Two years' experience working at the college level.
