What You'll Do Here:

Position Summary:
As a member of the National Geographic Learning (NGL) Sales Team, the Math Engagement Consultant (MEC) is a new specialist position that engages with our sales team, NGL resources across the organization, and with school (Pre-K 12) customers to develop, implement and execute comprehensive regional sales plan for NGLs market leading math solutions and programs. The MEC works with the Regional Sales Manager and Sales Consultants on discovering, creating demand, and managing regional math sales opportunities. The MEC works with the Regional Sales Manager to expertly market and sell NGL math solutions - demonstrating and detailing how these solutions meet the needs of these customers, coaching and training sales consultants on math specific solutions and working with school customers to implement math solutions into their workflows and curriculum. The MEC coordinates NGL resources marketing, product, technology, presenters, etc. , including acting as an adoption state coordinator (where applicable), to ensure NGL is leveraging all of its capabilities to ensure sales and customer success. The MEC is accountable to regional Math sales performance but reports to the Math Engagement Director.

  • As a team member, works with Regional Manager and Sales Consultants to target sales opportunities and create strategy, plan executing for all key accounts to secure business for NGL's math products.

  • Reports sales activity to management, including our partner, and is accountable for math business in the region.

  • Develops expertise in NGL math solutions across Pre-K-AP spectrum.

  • Coaches/trains Sales Consultants and Regional Managers on math products.

  • Responsible for implementing math products in the K12 classroom. Focus on working with teachers and districts to drive usage and utilization of math solutions in the classroom and at home by the students.

  • Sets up and conducts web-based trainings as needed.

  • Manages In-Service and Training and provides comprehensive knowledge of products.

  • Coordinates with national presenters for district sales opportunities

  • Conducts customized presentations if national presenters is unavailable.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of curricular trends and marketing practices within the math disciplines.

  • Position involves lifting, setting up and breaking down conference materials. Boxes weigh up to 50 lbs.

Skills You Will Need Here:

Basic (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in teaching, training, selling, or presenting.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to change

  • Demonstrated understanding of and comfort with computer based technology

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Strong training / presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly in virtual and in-person settings

  • Evidence of strong customer orientation and ability to form and build effective customer relationships

  • Ability to travel overnight, approximately 40%-45%; must be able to travel by both auto and air

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Math, or other STEM disciplines

  • 5 years of related experience in teaching, training or presenting, particularly in a publishing environment

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (PC) and or iWorks(MAC), Outlook and Adobe PDF files

Areas include, but are not limited to the convergence of digital and physical consumer endpoints that entail the integration of various systems and processes. Expertise in the following areas are required: integrated sales of hardware, software, professional services and managed services with strong emphasis on fully outsourced enabled services and cloud offerings. The Solutions Engagement Manager will be responsible for remaining on top of industry trends, anticipating client needs, and recommending the development of new solutions and product/service enhancements. He/She must be able to communicate the DN vision and collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve targeted business objectives and sales goals. He/She must also drive the sales process by interfacing directly with customers as an expert in complex environments. DESCRIPTION * Achieve assigned business and financial goals * Study market trends and competitive activity * Assist in contract/legal negotiations between DN and clients * Interface with both home office and field sales to improve their knowledge of market needs to collaborate on the creation of new offerings * Assist with RFPs * Work closely with and independently of DN client account executives to develop, build and maintain strategic relationships with our customers. Ensure customers are knowledgeable of Diebold Nixdorf's sales, support and service capabilities. Develop executive level relationships within the assigned prospects/customers * Develops effective and specific account plans and client roadmaps to ensure revenue target delivery and sustainable growth. Develop relationships in new accounts and leverage to drive strategy through organization * Lead designated territory, including accounts, account relationships, prospect profiling, and sales cycles * Follow a disciplined approach to maintaining a rolling pipeline. Keep pipeline current and moving up the pipeline curve – maintain CRM system with accurate customer and pipeline information * Support all DN promotions and events in the territory * Maintain White Space analysis and execution of initiatives (up sell and cross sell) REQUIREMENTS * 10 years of experience in sales of complex business software / IT solutions * Minimum 10 years of client relationship management at the executive level * Strong knowledge of the U.S. financial industry, retail banking operations outsourcing and services trends within these industries. Creativity needed to anticipate market trends and needs and identify new solutions to satisfy those needs * Proven ability to source leads and qualify high potential prospects * Demonstrated relationship building skills at all levels of the organization, including senior executive levels * A proven track record for meeting and exceeding performance objectives * Possess a high level of demonstrated leadership, oral and written communication, presentation, critical thinking and strategic planning skills * Must be assertive, influential and able to motivate all levels of associates, peers and executive leadership. Must be adept at team building, developing and managing staff, and collaborating. * Demonstrated success with large transactions and lengthy sales cycles in a dynamic, consultative and competitive market * Bachelor equivalent.
