Salary: $25.00 per hour

This is a grant-funded position. Grant-funded positions expire either at the end of the stated term or whenever funding for the position ceases.

The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a part-time Math Corps Grade Supervisor in our College Pipeline Programs department. This position will ensure that every student in her/his grade level (grades 7-12) has a safe, rewarding, enjoyable and academically successful 4-week experience at MVCC's Math Corps Summer Camp; and helps students learn and develop the values, habits, and attitudes essential for long-term success.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Participates in pre-program training;

• Manages minor behavior problems at the given grade level;

• Participates in parent meetings as needed;

• Keeps track of daily attendance for students. Contacts parents of absentees each day and reminds parents of the attendance policies;

• Oversees the afternoon activities and student behavior. Helps generate new activities for students;

• Supervises, assists, and evaluates the four Math Corps student team leaders;

• Contacts and discusses with parents, as needed, any missing or unsatisfactory homework, poor quizzes or other academic matters arising;

• Any other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

The work schedule for this position will be based on the needs of the department and the availability of the applicant.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in college and have a minimum of two years of college or 60 credit hours completed

• Unofficial transcripts required at the time of application

Preferred Qualifications:

• Math related field of study
