Description

Positions / Hours:

Math Center Tutor will work assigned days Sun-Thurs from 7-9. Select daytime hours as needed for institutional work study departmental workers.

Math Lab helpers will work 2 hrs per lab. Labs meet Wednesday or Thursday afternoons.

Wednesday is typically 3-5, Thursday could be 8-10, 9-11, 12 -2, 1:30 - 3:30, or 3 -5. The day and time will be determined by students availability and assigned by Mrs.

Jamerson.

Math 101/103 Assistants will work 50 mins per day meeting Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays usually during the 9am, 10am, 12pm, 1pm, and/or 2 pm class hour each week. The time will be determined by students availability and assigned by Ms. Silver and Ms. Jamerson.

Title: Math Center Tutor or Math Lab Helper or Math 101/103 Assistant

Duties: Workers will be expected to help students answer questions about math assignments either in the math center or the math classroom setting.

Specific Requirements: Successful completion of Math 107, Math 113 and/or Math 115 with an above average grade (i.e.

A or B). Receive a recommendation to be hired and an interview with Ms. Silver or Mrs.

Jamerson depending on the position.

Preferred Skills: Good communication skills and ability to work well with others. Comfortable tutoring students in math.
