Job Overview
Komatsu is currently looking for a Materials & Trace Coordinator to join our Quality team for our facility located in Longview, Texas
The Materials & Trace Coordinator will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of Material Test Reports (mtrs) and Traceability. This includes the Collection, Verification, Filing, Retrieval, and Uploading of mtrs to support our commitment to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. The Materials & Trace Coordinator will work closely with the Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE's), Manufacturing, and Sales Teams, to ensure that all Traceability processes are being followed. The Materials & Trace Coordinator provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates a good team work while serving as an ambassador of our safety culture.
Key Job Responsibilities
Scan and enter all MTR and Trace information to a SharePoint database. All inbound vendors must be completed the same day.
Maintain & organize an accessible, digital, and physical filing system for all MTR's and X-ray film.
Collaborate with the Receiving Team to match MTRs with corresponding materials received.
Provide MTRs to customers and internal stakeholders upon request, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information.
Work with SQE's and Purchasing to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to material quality or documentation. Investigate and review customer concerns to find root cause.
Stay updated with industry standards and changes related to material reporting.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
Coordinate with vendors for an MTR retrieval efficient process.
Supporting all SQE team members to streamline MTR processes.
Verifying that MTRs contain all relevant information, such as heat codes and certification.
Pick fitting and pip for MTR orders and record heat numbers in the database when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
Strong problem-solver with a track record for being proactive and solutions driven.
Able to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency and achieve timely, accurate results.
Ability to work autonomously while still being highly collaborative.
Forklift experience preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
Climate controlled Warehouse with Office / Shop Floor conditions.
The typical work week is Monday through Friday.
Walking - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
