Materials Technician

At Select Specialty/ Regency Hospital, a division of Select Medical, our specialty hospitals care for chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care. We are currently seeking a Materials Technician to join our team. We offer an excellent network of career opportunities across the U.S.

Responsibilities

As a Materials Technician, you will be responsible assisting the Materials Manager with stocking needed daily supplies, and processing daily deliveries. Other duties may include, but are not limited to, collecting daily charge data, entering and logging all charges for each department, ordering supplies; ordering and returning of rental equipment, submission of invoices, moving equipment.

Other responsibilities of the Materials Technician position include:

  • Reviews and restocks daily all supplies in the nursing stations that are below par level

  • Receives all facility supplies and makes notation of the received amounts on the purchase orders

  • Handles inventory appropriately. Rotates inventory continually. Maintains adequate inventory levels

  • Reviews all invoices. Reconciles invoices to packing slips and purchase orders. Verifies invoice charges for ordered andagreed rates

  • Codes invoice line items with general ledger accounts. Maintains and reconciles all incomplete purchase orders to invoices.

  • Verifies all approval signatures per policies prior to processing invoices.

Other requirements of the Materials Technician role include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience in Materials and Central Supply within a hospital, stocking, data entry

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Exel preferred

If you're a "10 minutes early is on time, and on time is late" person, this is what we need! * Electrifying skills of utilizing a multi-meter to troubleshoot complex electrical circuits, along with the ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics to properly troubleshoot systems. * If you are detailed with your tools, you will have no issues maintaining and balancing a vast inventory of parts. * There is nothing like information at your fingertips for troubleshooting! You will be utilizing a laptop and smartphone with industry-specific software for daily service call tasks. * You will be working within a designated geographical territory within North Jersey for all service calls. * Like to make sure paperwork is completed in an orderly and timely fashion? WE DO TOO!! * Valid driver's license and a clean driving history. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is included in our background check. * Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods of time, pull, lift, squat, reach, bend, and stoop to equipment, parts, and supplies. Again, this is an extremely active position that requires walking, standing, squatting, and bending for over 50% of the work day.
