You will be responsible for the daily ordering, receiving, stocking, and labeling of all medical/surgical supplies used to care for our patients, monitoring/managing inventory and par levels, and assuring accurate tracking of materials and supplies. Materials Technician will also be responsible for restocking all medical/surgical supplies in the nursing stations, medical-surgical equipment charging/tracking, equipment rental tracking and the ability to maintain an effective system to rotate expired products and document all changes appropriately. This position does not provide direct patient care.

As a Materials Technician, you will be responsible assisting the Materials Manager with stocking needed daily supplies, and processing daily deliveries. Other duties may include, but are not limited to, collecting daily charge data, entering and logging all charges for each department, ordering supplies; ordering and returning of rental equipment, submission of invoices, moving equipment.
Other responsibilities of the Materials Technician position include:
Reviews and restocks daily all supplies in the nursing stations that are below par level
Receives all facility supplies and makes notation of the received amounts on the purchase orders
Handles inventory appropriately. Rotates inventory continually. Maintains adequate inventory levels
Reviews all invoices. Reconciles invoices to packing slips and purchase orders. Verifies invoice charges for ordered andagreed rates
Codes invoice line items with general ledger accounts. Maintains and reconciles all incomplete purchase orders to invoices.
Verifies all approval signatures per policies prior to processing invoices.
High school graduate or the equivalent
Warehouse and supply chain experience
Experience in health care/hospital environment or medical/surgical supplies/equipment is a huge plus
