As a Materials Supervisor you will work in an empowered environment to oversee the Central Purchase Group located in Thurmont, MD. You'll be responsible for several metrics including, but not limited to, Quality of Service, Miscellaneous Turns, Inventory Turns, Inventory Growth and Purchase Price Variance (PPV). Primary Responsibilities

  • Buying of materials while leading the purchasing team

  • Review and analyze materials metrics

  • Determine optimal ordering strategies based on lead-times, supplier performance, storage limitations & inventory turns.

  • Drive projects and process improvements within the purchasing team as well as throughout NVRBP, ASD and our Procurement groups.

  • Foster an environment of coaching, development, and teamwork and ensure expectations and results are communicated effectively.ualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

  • Strong time management & organizational skills

  • Excellent problem-analysis and strategic-thinking abilities

  • Ability to drive improvements within the organization and persuade and influence others

  • Procurement and/or purchasing experience is a plus

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making, adapting and meeting deadlines
